Skywrath Mage is one of my favorite heroes to play in Solo Que when I'm the highest MMR on my team because as a support, he's able to roam and drastically affect ganks and fights in the early game.
With lots of kill success, this translates into a strong mid-late game because you have more farm and items than a typical support will have.
I generally go the Arcanes+Mek build because it makes up for the low armor that Skywrath normally has.
